Lead Cybersecurity Architect · Co-founder
Valtteri Aalto
Valtteri leads Sisuka’s technology strategy, technical service development and cybersecurity architecture. His client work relates technical findings to business priorities and covers security control design, configuration, remediation and validation.
He brings more than a decade of hands-on experience across VMware infrastructure, server and virtualisation platforms, Windows and Linux environments, Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure, NGFW, network security, endpoint protection and data protection.
His consulting work covers security for on-premises server and virtualisation environments, cloud security and CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform) solutions, network and endpoint security, and disaster recovery and ransomware recovery planning.
He has several years of hands-on experience in Autonomous Security Validation (ASV). ASV tools emulate attacker behaviour by carrying out real attacks under controlled conditions in an organisation’s own environment.
The attacks are automated and use tactics and techniques documented in the MITRE ATT&CK framework, such as privilege escalation and lateral movement between systems. The results show which attack paths can be exploited in practice, what an attacker can access and whether security controls prevent or detect the attacks.
Valtteri interprets findings, helps prioritise remediation and verifies the effectiveness of fixes through retesting.
Valtteri also designs and delivers cybersecurity training, workshops and talks.
